Exhausted!

We've had a great October - we've been enjoying the wonderful fall weather!

We've had several adventures this month or so:
  • Another visit to our favorite orchard
  • A visit to Rheault Farm in Fargo - they have a great Fall Festival every fall
  • Lots of playtime with neighbor kids, including a great birthday party
  • A visit to the Buffalo River Pumpkin Patch
  • Fourth grade homework
  • Carson's parent-teacher conference (which was awesome - he's had his best 'start of school year' ever - we are so proud of him!)
  • Montessori Night at Grace's school - we got to see Grace work on her 'work'
  • We've all had some sort of crud.  Thankfully, the kids have been spared the most.  Trav and I have had the crud that has hung on for several weeks.  It seems to be getting a bit better.
  • Several visits from Papa Dip
  • We celebrated at one of our fav restaurants - Carino's - for my birthday.  We topped the night off with ice cream at Coldstone's.  It's a good thing we don't live too close to a Coldstone - there are two in Fargo and none in Moorhead.
  • Carson giggles at the fact that I'll be 40 next year.  Thanks, kid!
  • Both kiddos got their flu shots - we're waiting until we feel better to get ours.
  • Carson had labs a few weeks ago - they continue to look awesome!
  • Grace can sign (and say) the A, B, C's and consistently count up to five in Spanish (after that it, she rattles of various Spanish numbers - so cute!).  She can count to ten in sign language too.
  • We're past mid-term in Trav's classes - it is all downhill from here!
  • I'm gearing up for a conference in the Cities in a few weeks - I'm co-presenting at two (potentially three) sessions.  I'm very honored to have been asked to serve as Program Chair at the regional conference in South Dakota next year.
  • The kids were off from school some last week (Carson - three days, Grace - two days).  Trav kept them busy with swimming, park trips and more.  We enjoyed their time off, but we're ready for a routine again.
Some cute kid-isms:
  • As we traveled on errands (and it was bright outside) Grace wanted the sky to be 'turned off'.
  • As Grace jabbers silly talk, Carson will ask "Grace - are you talking crazy talk or in Spanish?"
  • Carson wanting to dress up our cats for Halloween (don't think so!!!).
  • I know there are more - I'm just too tired to remember right now!!!

NO, Rhonda! It CAN'T be # 40 next year! That seems so impossible -- as I thought that I am 30 something. You were a little one just a few weeks ago!
