We received an awesome report from one of Grace's teachers earlier this week. Every day at school Grace has music time and Spanish time. Spanish and sign language are woven into many of the kids' activities too. For example, the kids have been playing 'Duck, duck, goose' at the end of the day, but have been playing it in Spanish.
One of her teacher's reported that Grace is picking up Spanish very quickly. Since sign language is paired with Spanish and Grace already knows so much sign language, Grace is picking up Spanish wonderfully and using it frequently at school. She'll often use Spanish at home and we have no clue what she is saying, so we need to get in gear and start learning! It's not like sign language that we can finger spell a word we don't know the sign for.
Now if Carson learns Spanish we are really in trouble. They will be plotting and scheming...probably deciding when to put us into a nursing home or something.
Yes, we must add 'learn some basic Spanish' to our list of 'to do's'!
