A few weekends ago we went to St. Cloud for the weekend to see Papa and Nana (and their little "Honey" foster girl, who is one of the sweetest little things on earth). We arrived in time to cheer on Papa during the hockey game - oh, we cheered on the players too! Unfortunately, our cheering didn't show on the scoreboard and the St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders lost.
We loved seeing some of the wonderful people who have been on Grace's 'cheer team' since she joined Papa Ron and Nana Jane's home when she was two days old. Very special!
Grace had a great time playing with "Honey". All three kids had a fun time together. Carson beat Travis in darts and has celebrated it ever since.
It is so fun to watch Grace at Nana and Papa's. It is clear she remembers 'home'. Within minutes of our arrival, she shed her coat and boots, walked into the kitchen and pulled open a drawer. She proceeded to grab a granola bar and asked "Honey": "Do you want a snack?". She was up roaming the house at 6:00 a.m. the next morning, again - looking for a snack in the snack drawer! Nana and Papa heard her as she came around the corner and had a wonderful morning snuggle with Grace. Just like when she lived there!
And we always giggle when Grace makes a game of grabbing the pegs in Nana and Papa's log bed. She did this as a little girl and just laughs as she does it now.
It is so special for us to see her always pick up right like she has never left.
