Birthday girl

Grace has been so excited about turning four years old.  In fact she announced last week she was 'all done' with being three.

On Friday she got to celebrate her birthday at school - she got to bring pics of when she was an infant, age 1, 2, and 3.  She got to bring her favorite book ("Llama, llama, red pajama"), a stuffed animal, and her favorite song.  She got to wear a "Birthday Girl" button and a fun birthday hat all day.  She got to bring treats too.  She was beyond excited and it wasn't easy getting her to bed on Thursday night.  Sounds like she had a wonderful and special day!

Yesterday we had her birthday party - complete with Tinkerbell theme - with family and friends.  Grace was excited for cake, presents and Tinkerbell BINGO!  She had fun playing with the kids and was wiped out last night.

She woke up today with a cough that didn't sound very good.  She's had a runny nose for a few days.  We opted not to go to church as she didn't sound very good.  We did have a special, yummy breakfast (thanks to Nana and Papa) and just cuddled and played.  By early afternoon she was feeling miserable.  She felt very warm and a quick check of her temp revealed 102.  Ugh.  Off to Urgent Care and after strep test and x-rays we learned she had pneumonia.  The birthday girl didn't think much of the two shots of antibiotic she got.  She's also on oral antibiotics for 5 days.  Hopefully she feels better very soon!

We'll keep you posted on Grace - I uploaded pics to Facebook and will try to get them out here in the next few days.
