Father's Day

We had a wonderful family day on Father's Day.

Carson was convinced that Travis would want to go to Thunder Road for the day (a local go-cart, mini golf, arcade place).  Hmmm....big decisions.

They day started with cards in bed for Daddy and his choosing of a breakfast from a menu.

After breakfast, we started planning the day.

We all went on a wonderful canoe ride.  Trav and Carson had the canoe out quite a few times last year.  Grace and I hadn't yet been in it.  Grace was thrilled to see the life jackets - she thought we'd be going swimming!  We enjoyed a peaceful canoe ride for about 20-30 minutes on the Red River.  Carson and Trav were the paddlers and Grace and I sat in the bottom of the middle of the canoe.  Grace really enjoyed it (despite the fact we didn't swim in the river).

The kids and I loaded up and dashed to the grocery store to grab fixins for a picnic.  Trav canoed solo from downtown Fargo to a park in south Fargo where we all met up.  We enjoyed our picnic lunch immensely.

The rest of the day was very spent very leisurely.  It was a fun and relaxing family day!
