We are enjoying the long days of summer. We've spent so much time outside lately (except for yesterday - we had a 'socked-in-all-day' rain). The yard needs mowing again and we need to get some weeds out of the flower beds, but things are looking good. There is only one thing left on the 'to do' list and that's wash windows. Pretty exciting. :) Perhaps we'll tackle that today. They all need it - inside and out. Next weekend we plan to check out fireplaces. Now it's time to get moving on the basement!
Carson wrapped up day camp this week with Camp Courage and he had a great time. Baseball, horse and golf are still going strong. He starts tennis in a few weeks. Last weekend he took his golf clubs in the backyard and told me he needed to 'practice his swing'. Too cute!
Labs this past week went wonderfully and the early labs look good. Still waiting on his EBV level from the Cities. It's been bouncing around a bit lately, still fairly low, but we'd like to see it stay that way and remain stable.
Uncle Chris and Auntie Hilary will be here this week for a stop-over on their way west. We're all excited to see them.
We're planning on taking in the Fourth of July events at Minnesota State University Moorhead on Friday. They have so many events planned, capped off with a spectacular fireworks show that night. A year ago Carson and I watched from a nearby parking lot. Daddy was wrapping up the tiling project in the foyer and half bath area. We had just finished painting 28 gallons of paint in two days and we were a little over a week away from closing on our house. This year we can go as a family and relax!
This past week was another orientation week. Busy week, but it went well. Another round of orientation starts on July 8. I have some vaca planned for later in July. Looking forward to that!
