Take me out to the ballgame!

This is now one of Carson's favorite songs. It's so cute to hear him sing it! He sang it all the way to baseball tonight as well as on the way home! He had a great time tonight and had a wonderful hit (without a 'T' even - it was pitched to him!). They had team and individual pictures tonight, so they each only got one round at bat. He had fun in the outfield too.

Hawkeye (the mascot from the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks team) stopped by the baseball game tonight, much to the delight of everyone. Carson was quite excited to have Hawkeye sign his jersey. Something tells me he won't want to wash it. Yummy...little boy sweat + sunblock + bug spray...multiply that by how many more nights of baseball = ?!?!?! I'll give you three guesses who will win that argument. :)

I picked up a bunch of sports equipment for him after work today - a tennis racket, tennis balls, practice golf balls (the non-window breaking kind), a baseball bat, and practice baseballs (also the non-window breaking kind). He was so excited about all of his new gear and can't wait to try it all out.

We bought more trees today. We had ordered some and they were pathetic. Thankfully, we got our money back on them. So, four new trees will be planted tomorrow in their place. We know, not the best tree planting time, but thankfully these come with a guarantee too (and they are from a different place). They are over 8 feet tall right now, so have good growth already on them. That brings our total trees to 15. A far cry from an orchard, but we're happy with what we've got in so far (especially considering a little over a year ago this was all mud/dirt)!

We enjoyed a beautiful day outside yesterday. It was an amazing day! We got all of our windows washed and then I worked on weeding the perennial beds while Trav worked on the yard. Carson played, played, played. Such a wonderful, perfect summer day.

Tomorrow is a busy day at work and then I have some meetings after work. Tomorrow night we'll be setting off some sparklers to celebrate Canada Day. Happy Birthday, Canada!
