Another 'official' milestone - we now have a second grader in the house! Here he is on the last day of first grade (Wednesday)!
I have a 'thing' about taking pictures like this. I'm very into celebrating the everyday aspects of life. After all, our lives aren't all about birthday parties, Christmas and Cub Scouts. There needs to be more in the scrapbooks than just those events. Why is it that we often take pictures of the first day of school, but not the last? I wish I had could remember the dates of the last time Carson crawled, breastfed, ate in his high chair, or other milestones along those lines. They just happened. Over the past few years, I'm trying to be more intentional to remember those 'lasts' too. Sometimes they are just as important (or even more) than the firsts.
Here's to our new second grader - we're so proud of you and how hard you've worked this year Carson!
