Is it really Wednesday?

The past week has flown by. A week ago we left for the Cities. We had a great trip. We stayed with Marisa (thank you again!!!) in her new place! We had training all day Thursday & Friday. Carson hung out with Marisa and convinced her to go to the pool a few times and play a lot of Battleship. The training was very good - beneficial and we learned a lot.

We shopped at Babies R Us & Ikea - we got a lot off of our 'list' accomplished. With three of the seats out of the van, we had no problem accomodating everything. :) We had another stop at another store, but it is a surprise for Grace from Carson so will tell more about that next week.

We had supper on Thursday night with Andrew and his family. Andrew was in the hospital for a long time waiting for a new heart and we met him during our wait for Carson's liver. He just graduated from high school - he looks great! It was so special to see him!!! (Three transplant recipients - Marisa & Carson - livers, Andrew - heart.)


We went to the Fairview Liver Transplant picnic on Saturday - we had a great time. Here's a pic of the liver transplant 'kids'.

We also got to see Carson's transplant surgeon - Dr. Humar. We haven't seen him for four years! He is so amazing and gifted. We got to meet his kids too!

We shopped a bit more at Albertville - Carson is set for school. He mainly needed jeans. We found a couple of outfits for Grace as well. Then it was home!

The house was a disaster that night (and if you know us, you know we aren't 'clutter' people!). We sorted through everything and worked to find a place for it all. We put Grace's stroller together and we love it - can't wait to see her in it!

After church on Sunday we started the big 'move'. We pulled stuff out of our storage area for Grace - toys, crib & bedding, sippy cups, bibs, etc. Everything was washed or scrubbed. Then we worked on packing up the playroom. Some stuff stayed out, but the rest was moved to the storage area in the basement. Travis got Grace's crib, dresser and nightstand set up and I started washing clothes! We also went to the RedHawks game!

Monday was more of the same - cleaning, moving stuff around, etc. Carson had baseball that night too!

Yesterday Trav did a bunch of projects around the house - inside and out. We had a paint consult for Grace's room and then picked up the paint last night. Travis started in right away. It's going to be adorable - hopefully pics by this weekend!

Carson and I ran and bought some more essentials - diapers, wipes, baby shampoo, lotion, etc. Carson also got a camera - it's a nice and compact Kodak digital. It takes great pictures. With the exciting addition of Grace to our family as well as the upcoming trip to Florida, we know he'll have lots to take pictures of! He is very excited!

Trav will be working on painting more today and a few other odds and ends around the house. I leave tomorrow for a meeting on Friday for work in Mankato. We have a lot to do this weekend, but we know it'll all come together.
