Thankful

We have so much to be thankful for. Countless things to be thankful for.

Tonight we are certainly thankful for the wonderful adoption journey we are on. We can't believe where we're at and we are thrilled. In fact, 'thrilled' doesn't seem to do justice to how excited we are. God has hand picked this little miracle girl for us - we are in awe that we will soon be a family of four! Buying the carseat tonight was another fun reminder of what is next!

We are also thankful for Carson's latest lab results from a week and a half ago. His previous EBV level was 8,400 (June 25). As of Monday, July 21 it's down to 2,000. A significant and wonderful decrease. We can breathe pretty easy with 2,000. Last time it was at this level was March 2008 (level of 1,900). Labs will be done again in about mid-August. Of course, we hope the EBV continues to either a) drop or b) remain stable. But for now, we are very thankful.

Great report! We'll keep hoping a praying for continued good labs.

I have been sharing your adoption story with people I know and everyone shares in the excitement. Can't wait to hear more and see pictures when you bring Grace home!

You are correct....the Kitch family has a lot to be thankful for this summer. The safe arrival of Aidan Kitch in June started off the summer of events. Derwin and Dana were blessed with a beautiful little boy. We all have be very thankful for Ilene's surgery results. The results have turned out in such a way that we only have to worry about her recovery and not post-op procedures. We are thankful for Carson's health. We are hoping that his EBV results will continue to stay at a low level. And finally there is Grace who is joining the Kitch family. She is very fortunate to be joining a wonderful family. I know that Brody and Hannah can hardly wait to meet both of their new cousins!
