Nearly three weeks ago we traveled down to St. Cloud to see Nana, Papa and their sweet foster baby. We met up at a hockey game (Papa is a coach @ St. Cloud Cathedral HS). Both kids were excited to watch the game. Grace loves the action of hockey - she is a little sports nut! Grace was also excited to see the "Pepperoni" (Zamboni) clean the ice in between games and hockey periods.
The best part was seeing all of the people who have been such a big part of Grace's early life. Although she may not remember everyone, it was so special to see the connections.
Side note - I simply can't believe I didn't snap pictures of Grace with people. We even saw a certain blog stalker twice (I will NOT name any names!) and this certain individual gave Miss Grace her beloved baby (seen in several pics in the slide show posted yesterday). Seriously - how could I have missed those opportunities?!? Looks like we'll have to make another trip! Darn! ;-) We did get quite a few pics of Nana, Papa, and the kids; to protect Baby Sweetie, we just can't share them here!
Grace had a very successful weekend of going potty too - it was the first big test to be away from home and out and about so much. She did wonderfully and we had quite the tour of various bathrooms.
We stayed at Nana and Papa's house that night and the kids fell asleep quickly. We stayed up, had a great visit with Nana and Papa, watched the Olympic opening ceremony and visited some more. It was way too late when we called it a night, but it was fun!
On Saturday Nana had one of her typical 'simple' spreads for breakfast - there was a multitude of choice offerings!!! We got ready and went to see Auntie Rebecca and cousin Will for a bit. We had another great visit. We ate lunch at Grace's old hangout with Nana and Papa each weekend - Panera Bread. Oh we need one of these in Fargo-Moorhead!!! Then we got on the road to Alexandria. We enjoyed another hockey game in Alex (I'm not going to talk about the outcome of either game...I'll leave it at that!). The kids had a great time and Grace got to hang out a bit with a little playmate her age.
After the game, we all went out to supper and had a great time. Little foster guy wasn't feeling good at all, so he had a rough evening (his yuck later developed into RSV, so he's had quite the few weeks!). Carson ate an entire pizza! We didn't have to worry about a bedtime snack for him that night!
All too soon, it was time to say goodbye. It was a whirlwind trip, but we were so happy to see Nana, Papa, Baby "Sweetie" and family and friends.

I have to finally leave a comment after being "outed" as a "blog stalker"!! I have enjoyed every second I have "stalked" your site!! The new pics are wonderful - I especially enjoyed the ones of Grace with her baby - they brought tears (of joy, of course). After your "hockey week-end" I had also felt bad that I didn't have my camera with for some pictures. Maybe another time! You are an incredible family and I feel blessed to know you. It was great seeing you again. Keep blogging :).
