First leg down...

We made it to the Cities. We left Moorhead about 12:30. Quite a bit earlier than planned, and we're very glad we did. We packed up and picked Carson up at school. He gave hugs to his teachers and his classmates wished him goodbye. When he got in to the van, emotion washed over him and he started to cry a bit. He said he was going to miss his teachers so much and that he really LOVED his teachers. How many kids would be sad about missing teachers and school with an amazing trip looming? That tells you what amazing teachers he has! After wiping a few tears, he was ready to go.

We stopped in Fergus for food and stretches. We met Papa Ron and Nana Jane on the edge of St. Cloud for a snack and major 'run' break for Grace. She is such a trooper. The car seat is not her most favorite place, but she takes it well.

We're storing a suitcase with them - didn't wait to leave it in the van. It's full of our cold weather (a.k.a. Minnesota) clothes.

Then it was off to the Cities. We had occasional rain and a bit of sleet, but soon it cleared up. By the time we got into the hotel, stuff in and to the restaurant it was about 7:00. Carson had already checked out the Water Park area. WOW! Water Park of America is the largest in America. There is one raft ride that is 10+ stories high. First Daddy and Carson went, then Carson and I went. It was so fun!!! Worth all of the steps. We all went on tubes through a 'river' and the kids played in various areas. Grace was amazing. Even though she was tired, she wasn't showing bit signs of being ready for bed. She had a fun time and when 9:25 hit, I knew that she needed to get to sleep! She was still all smiles as we came in the room. Once pj's were on and a sippy cup in place I think it took all of five minutes for her to fall asleep. She was so good!

Carson enjoyed checking out his Make-A-Wish (MAW) goodie bag. It was so fun to see things through his eyes today and how he would describe things. We will be making a lot of memories.

Time to get to bed. Kiddos and Trav are all asleep...with visions of Mickey dancing through their heads.
