Flu shot fun

Have you had your flu shot?

I used to be one of those people who didn't think they needed one. Then I started getting really sick during the winter time. Guess what? Since I started getting a flu shot every year (I started in the fall of 1996), I have had colds but nothing else major. With an immune-suppressed kid in the house and two kids that have had major surgeries, it is even more important to us. Anyone with high contact with our kids should also have one. Yesterday Trav and Grace got theirs; today Carson and I went.

No, it's not fun, but if it saves us from any bugs, it will be worth it! Besides, it is a tiny, tiny needle.

Have you had your flu shot yet?

Yep, I've had mine. It's the easiest shot one can get. You hardly feel it, and no soreness afterwards. I encourage folks to go, as well. I love all the fall photos. They are great. Thanks for sharing.

I had FLUMist!!! No needle, just as effective! The only problem is that its a live vaccine which means I need to stay away from Kiddo for 7 days (which shouldn't be a problem since I am in Minneapolis and he is in Fargo)! But by getting my FLUmist I helped to break the world record for total number of flu shots give in one location in one day . . . at the U of M . . . OVER 11,000!
