Carson and I are heading west tomorrow. We're heading out to Williston, North Dakota for a few days to see Papa Chip. While we were briefly through there for hours on our way to and from Regina a few years ago, it has been four years since we've spent time in Williston and the surrounding area (where I was born and raised). I'm excited to show Carson some of the sights. On our way tomorrow, we're going to stop in Dickinson for a bit to see my best friend, Angie and tour through the North Unit of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. We'll be back on Sunday, so won't be gone too long.
Carson is excited, but is desperately wishing Grace and Trav would come with. We're all going to head out west for a few days in late September/early October, so we decided this trip would just be the two of us. Carson is also not pleased about being away from his girlfriend for that long. I'm sure if I offered, he'd bring her with!
Grace's impetigo has cleared up nicely, although she does have a few more days of meds. Two year molars are still pestering her a bit. Yucky teething!
Carson had some excitement when his horse Pogo spooked at horse therapy today. Thankfully he's fine. He did share that he told Pogo that he "was disappointed in his bad behavior".
Travis' dream of canoeing with Carson in our own canoe came true tonight. The boys ventured out onto the Red River for a bit. They came back sweaty and a bit muddy but both were all smiles. Carson couldn't wait to tell me about it. If we get back early enough Sunday evening perhaps we'll all head out in the canoe.
Have a great weekend - it's hot out west so we're looking forward to experiencing some warmer temps!

Oh, I'm excited that the canoe is getting some use. Maybe I can get a RIDE sometime? Grace, I feel like I am teething too. In fact, I wish we could grow another set of teeth. I have one where the gums have been inflamed since my last cleaning; and a crown is a bit too high. So I have to have them adjust that. Great Grandma sure has it easy in that department (but I don't want to go that route either. :( )
