A loving big brother

Carson brought this home from school today - one of those 'What did you do this summer' projects. It instantly brought me to tears...happy tears! It is beautiful. We are the luckiest parents in the world to two amazing and precious kids.

(For a little background, we called the Blessing and Entrustment ceremony on August 9 'A Big Brother Party". We had been buying so much for Grace and so much attention was on her that we told Carson it would be a big brother party. And it was a big brother party - we celebrated our new family and Carson becoming a big brother and Grace becoming a little sister.)

It's too bad that Carson doesn't remember details. ;-)
If you can't read it, Carson wrote:

In July I went to swimming. It was fun! It was fun and splash and play. On summer Aug 8 my sister come at 3:00 pm. On Aug 9 it big brother party.

P.S. Thank you, Amy, for this precious project. Not only are his words so meaningful but to have it in his handwriting is priceless! You are an awesome teacher!

Make sure you have a big box for all these wonderful things. When they graduate from high school you can bring them all out and even have the pleasure of embarrassing them with some of them. My girls never understood why I kept all that stuff but now get a kick out of looking at it.

Love looking at your pictures.
