Grace-isms

Just because pre-schoolers say the funniest things, I want to remember them!
  • When she discovered me sporting a facial mask on my face one evening, Grace responded "Who are you and what is on your face?"
  • During Christmas break, we would comment to the kids that they looked exhausted (because let's be honest, they weren't in bed by their typical school-night bedtime).  After a few mornings back to school, Grace proclaimed to Travis as he was waking her up "Look!  Look!" (pointing to her eyes) "I'm 'zausted!" (and then proceed to crawl back under the covers).
  • During the cold this past week, Grace often had her long undies under her school clothes.  Her long undies often double as p.j.s, since she has Tinkerbell and Princess long undies.  So, if they've been on from the night before, they often stay on during the day at school.  This past week she wore a Hello Kitty nightgown with leggings, socks and slippers to bed.  Very cozy.  Different story for the morning.  You can't exactly keep a nightgown on under a school uniform.  Grace had a major protest with Travis when he tried to take her nightgown off.  She proclaimed (one again) that she wanted to keep it on and added "I want to be special!".  (To which Trav, of course, responded - "Grace, you are special!".  She wasn't buying it.
  • When prompted to hurry up "You need to wait 10, 30 minutes!" (clearly we need to work on the concept of time...).
  • "Grace - you are cute!'  Grace responds: "No, I'm crazy!"
  • Asking us on a cold day in January "What do you want to be for Halloween?"
I know there are more...she seems to have at least one to two lines each day that give us the giggles!
