Boy germs

Carson had an awful night last night - he coughed so much that he hardly rested. I called the clinic this a.m. and talked to the nurse by mid-morning. Being the angel she is, she worked both Carson and Trav in (even though there was 'no room at the inn'). I met Trav, Carson and Grace at the clinic.

Carson's fever was up to 102.6 today. A culture for flu came back negative. The dr. put him on a more powerful antibiotic and also some cough medicine with codeine. He should feel a bit better by tomorrow - hopefully.

Trav has had a lingering cough, so the dr. checked him out too. Fortunately, it is just a stubborn cough, no recurrence of pneumonia. Trav got some magic cough syrup too, so he can at least rest through the night and really kick this thing.

Grace looked a bit puzzled why she wasn't getting checked over by the dr. I tried to explain to her that it was because we didn't have boy germs. :-) Trav and Carson didn't find my humor in this, but Grace and I had a giggle.

Upon arrival at home, both kids crashed and slept for over two hours. Carson looks better even now...hopefully he'll really be on the mend if he can get a good night's sleep.

Now (as an ode to my brothers who used to always pretend to spray me with girl germ spray) I need to go and find my boy germ spray. Perhaps Clorox wipes will do?!?
