Trav is still sick. Today was better than yesterday, but still a fever, chills and very tired. Hopefully a good night of sleep will help him tremendously. I have a bit of a headache, but I'm hopeful it is nothing. I am very tired, but I think it is from single-parenting these last three days. I'm exhausted! I'm thankful that if Trav had to get sick it is around a weekend. I feel for him so - he is so miserable! I'm trying to figure out how single parents do this!?! I am in awe, as I am wiped out after just a couple of days.
Good news is that our Christmas decorations are FINALLY up. (Carson was ready to report us to SOMEONE...after all, lack of Christmas festivities in a house has to be some form of abuse or torture.) We typically put everything up the weekend after Thanksgiving. We've just had so much going on that we didn't get to it until now. Carson is quite pleased and I think we're in his good graces again. :-) Grace LOVED the tree and the 'pretty' lights. Now we'll see how she does with the Grace-friendly ornaments on the bottom half of the tree.
We're all also excited as Grace has started signing her name. Her name sign is a "G" on the right side of your chin. It's so cute. Carson is so proud as he is her primary sign language teacher! He's so much better than Trav or I.
We enjoyed a visit with my forever best friend yesterday - her little guy (okay, not so little, but 5 is still little!) Jaken came over for a few hours. It was so special to have Angie meet Grace. Angie and I have known each other since we were born. I was born about three weeks after her (which yes, does mean she will turn the milestone birthdays before I do!). We even had our baby showers together. Neither one of us had a sister, so we were very, very close growing up. Ang is the type of person I can always pick up with where I've left off. That's the beautiful part of our friendship. We've had a lot of challenges and joys throughout the years. Anyway, I love you so much, Ang, and it is always so fun to see you. (Oh, and tt was great to see you too, Cory and Celessa!) ;-) Anyway, Carson and Jaken had a great time and Grace joined in where she could with two boys.
Today we enjoyed a play date with my Cousin's little girl. Katie and Grace are almost the same age. They had a fun time playing. They are so cute!
Okay, time for bed and hope my headache goes away!

So sorry you are not feeling better yet, Trav. We SO appreciate you guys keeping Jaken while we toured campus. It was a really good experience for Celessa, and she is even more excited about next year. Jaken talked about Carson all afternoon Saturday and even some yesterday-he had a ball! And meeting little Miss Grace was so special...she is such a sweetheart. How cool that Carson is her signing tutor--too bad we don't live closer, as I'd hire him to teach ME! ;) Hugs to all of you, and I hope Trav is feeling better soon, and that "the bug" doesn't take turns with all of you.
Love you all!
Ange
CARSON!
I need to know how to sign pretzel.
