We woke up this morning at 4 to the sounds of Carson puking. He crawled in bed with us and puked again about 5-ish. Thankfully we had a 'puke bucket' nearby. So, he stayed home from school today. Hasn't thrown up since, but he is so not himself. UGH! He has missed so much school this year - it is crazy!
Papa Chip went home today and Carson could barely show any emotion about it. He napped today and really laid low. He also had some whimpers about 'what ifs' he couldn't make it to the Valentines party and 2nd grade field trip at school tomorrow. We'll cross that bridge tomorrow morning. Grammy was here with him most of the afternoon and evening (Trav taught and I had a meeting at church). He did eat some soup, but that was about it today.
As of now, Trav and I have date night tomorrow night - dinner and likely a movie. Hopefully Carson and Grace can rebound from this week for us to feel okay to leave!
Can I just say I can't wait for spring? Despite all of the sanitizing, I think we need to get some fresh air in our house and get the germs out! ENOUGH ALREADY!!! I think the last time we had a solid month that we were all healthy was October - I'd have to go look it was so long ago! I'd be fine with colds at this point (not that I'm asking for one). Enough with the major crud though!
Thankfully, Grace is back to herself.
