Well not for a couple more years.
But he is already planning what he'll have in his apartment. He has been for several weeks now.
It all started when he asked us when we first lived in an apartment. Since his caregivers are all college girls (who live in apartments), Carson apparently thought it wasn't too early to start planning.
So, about once per day, he'll talk about various things he wants to be sure to bring with him when he moves into an apartment.
A tv. Microwave. Family picture. Picture of Grace. His Superman pillowcase/pillow. His Wii (and games). The list continues to grow.
He did tell me he can't bring his clothes as he'll need new clothes since he'll be bigger. (Good call!)
And he's going to have a blue pick-up truck. He's going to give us rides in his truck.
Today he invited us over to celebrate every Mother's Day and Father's Day when he lives in his apartment.
We have now convinced him that once he goes to college he needs to live in the residence hall for at least a year. He's pretty intrigued by the idea of a residence hall and has agreed to our condition. He thought it was pretty cool that Daddy and Mommy met while being resident assistants in the residence halls at Minot State University.
Yesterday he asked how much an apartment would cost. I told him the costs will change over the years but even right now there is a big range. He was floored by the price and informed me that Daddy and I will have to pay for it in college since he'll be poor.
This kid is way too smart!
The list making will continue, I'm sure, but at least for now, he won't be moving into an apartment for a couple more years!

I'll bet he is already saving. Which reminds me: Guess what I saved my $$ for all the years I was growing up? LUGGAGE! I guess I was planning on moving out too --- OR traveling. Either way -- I never changed my mind & I DID buy my luggage when I graduated from FHS. My parents gave me one piece and I bought the other two. I remember picking them out at Home of Economy in Grand Forks. So there went my "life savings". But they were very useful and I used them for many, many years. It was a good thing to save for. Carson will plan well too. He already is. Love & LOTS of prayers. Auntie Diane
