"Does it match?"

Grace loves to play matching/memory games at home and school. This has resulted in her now-critical eyes to analyze if things match.

Do the plate and cup match?
Does the Mom's purse match with her outfit? (Ummm...probably not...Mommy is lucky to remember her purse before she walks out the door for work)
Do the pretties in Grace's hair match with the outfit?

She's also got a lot of commentary on if outfits match.  To Grace, any combo of pink and purple in both the top and bottom is "a match"!  Also, if any of the colors in the top are also in the bottom, also a match.

She has praised me for hanging "matched" clothes up correctly in her closet.

The other day I got a "good job, Mommy!  You match!" comment from her (my shirt and pants both had black and white).

Then the next day I was told "Mommy, you no match" (I was wearing a navy shirt and khaki pants).

If this is what diva-three-year-oldness is all about we need to brace ourselves for a few years from now.  Thankfully her "Mommy, you no match" comment was not accompanied by an eye roll or sigh.  At least not yet!

Coming soon...a story about Carson's apartment!
