Very happy it is the weekend - the weather was beautiful yesterday today and it looks to be a nice weekend as well - perhaps we'll get to the park at some point. I know Grace will be up for it...not sure if Carson will!
Big excitement yesterday - Carson's forever-sweetheart (Danie) and Grace's Godparents, Danie & Jamie, had a little girl early yesterday morning. Eve was born at 2:08 a.m. We plan to go visit in just a bit. We're so happy for Danie and Jamie - they will be wonderful parents! We can't wait to meet Eve! Carson has already announced that he is excited to teach Eve many things - how to be good, clean up and play. :-)
Carson seems to have really turned the corner - he's not 'full-force' but he has a lot more energy. We're still watching him closely to ensure he doesn't over-do it.
I painted Grace's toenails again this morning - this time purple. She was so excited. :) I went to one rummage sale this morning too - it is hard to find boys clothes Carson size now, but I have a lot of luck for Grace. I bought 4T and 5T for the next few summers - I hit the jackpot! Came out with four heaping bags full of clothes for $24. Grace is in just a few things at 2T, and quite a few things are 3T right now. She is a tall girl, so I'm thankful for shorts and capris this summer! Grace was very excited over the purchases - especially a size 5 Disney Princess rain poncho - brand new with tags on. She's been wearing it around the house, despite the beautiful morning skies.
Grace also loves guacamole (so do I). We polished off quite a bit last night - after a bit she stopped using the scoop chips and just used a spoon to eat it. Was cute stuff.
Got to run - need to finish getting the kids ready to go meet baby Eve!
