Quiet

There is a sound I'm not quite sure about in the house right now - it is quiet.

Very quiet.

I'm trying to dig out from a few things at work. The kids have been sleeping for a few hours now. The cats are sleeping somewhere. Trav is teaching tonight and will be home soon.

I don't even have the TV on - which I almost always have on when I'm working on my laptop.

All I know is it is very quiet - not even the wind is howling outside, which is a big change! It's actually too quiet. I prefer the giggles and laughter throughout the house. But waking the kids up for that after 10:00 p.m. is certainly not the smartest thing a Mommy could do!

For now I'll need to remember the cute sounds of the kids from today and look forward to tomorrow. And the next day. And the next.
