On Tuesday evening, after Grace was in bed, Carson and I dashed to the book fair at school. He was so excited! He had made a wish list of books. The very first book on his wish list was an Elmo cookbook for Grace. It's a book of snacks. He was so thoughtful. We picked up several other books too.
Despite the bad weather start to the day, Nana and Papa were able to leave for Winnipeg on Wednesday and got there just fine. Nana had good reports from her appointment.
On Wednesday evening, a dear friend of mine came over for supper with her family. We had a very relaxing and special evening.
Friday brought a much-anticipated day-new hearing aid day for Carson! He picked blue again for the hearing aids and went with a patriotic look for the ear molds (the inner earmold part gets replaced every 4-6 months due to growth).

Carson has been counting down for his new aids, so he was so, so, so excited. We are already noticing a difference (and they aren't turned up to the level they can be yet...will make another adjustment in about 2 weeks). They look great on him and they are a very streamlined aid. Happy day!
Grace's new hearing aids arrive this Friday, so she'll be fitted with them on Friday afternoon. Grace's speech is exploding and she copies everything and is talking non-stop all of the time. Prayer time is most adorable - she repeats every one's name (and throws in Elmo and Baby for good measure). She has also learned to click her tongue and his quite proud of this new skill. She is still counting and thinks it is funny how excited we get about her counting skills.
Well, I need to get ready for the day! Today is our last day of meds for the family of strep throat! Oh, Trav DOES need his tonsils out and we suspect Carson too. More to come...

Carson! I LOVE your new hearing aids! They are SO cool! I really like the tie-dye ear molds. I thought you were going to get orange hearing aids? I really like the blue though, they look great!
Hey Sherryse - they didn't have orange HA in this model. Carson wanted red, but they were a little too pink. Might have been fine now, but NOT in three years. Thankfully, blue is pretty safe for a boy!!!
